Simon Grayson has hailed the signing of Adam Smith as “a great addition” after the Spurs youngster completed his move to Leeds United.
The England Under-21 right-back, who has been on loan at Milton Keynes Dons this season prior to being recalled by Tottenham, will now move to Elland Road on loan for the rest of the season.
Smith brings the Championship club’s temporary Premier League contingent to three players, with Tottenham’s Andros Townsend and Fabian Delph, from Aston Villa, also at the club and Grayson told United’s official website: “Adam is a player we’ve been monitoring for a few months now at MK Dons. He has done very, very well and we’re delighted we could get his services.
“We know how highly thought of he was at MK and on top of the reports we’ve had, he’s had some great recommendations from Stuart Pearce and Harry Redknapp.
“Adam is an England Under-21 international with a bright future and he is a great addition for us.”
