Two of Enfield's young water polo stars, Richard Waller and Charlie Briars, have taken a step nearer to representing London.
The duo have been shortlisted for the capital's elite squad that will travel to Wales later this month to take part in a prestigious Under-15 tournament.
The Inter Regional Boys' Water Polo Championships will be played over the weekend of February 25 and 26 and will see teams from ten UK regions competing.
Fourteen-year-old Waller and Briars, 13, are both members of Enfield Water Polo Club, who train every Wednesday evening at Southgate Leisure Centre, and their coach, Martin Waller, said: "Richard and Charlie have both got huge potential. They've trained hard and deserve their place in the final 20.
"The club's youth set-up is relatively new, but it's clear that Enfield is home to some promising youngsters and it's great to see that talent being recognised."
