Hornchurch left it late to snatch a 2-1 win at Isthmian League Premier Division rivals Haringey Borough.

Steve Morison's men looked to be heading for their first defeat of the 2023-24 campaign after Matt Young put the hosts ahead on 75 minutes.

But Ryan Scott headed home a last-minute leveller and Urchins claimed all three points thanks to an overhead kick finish from Ade Yusuff in the third minute of stoppage time.

Haringey had the better of the first half at Coles Park, with Young and Walter Figueria forcing Dion Henry into early saves.

Young pulled another shot wide and Figueria fired over, as Hornchurch remained on the back foot.

And the visitors saw Scott booked for a foul on home keeper Ted Collins after the restart, before Sean Scannell's cross evaded Liam Nash.

Figueria saw yellow for a challenge on Nathan Green, before Urchins saw Sam Higgins denied by Dexter Peter's block on the hour.

Henry saved well from Young, with Arthur Iontton firing against the crossbar from the set-piece.

Collins denied Nash at the other end, with Joe Christou slicing wide, before George Saunders found Nash and his shot hit the outside of a post.

Haringey broke the deadlock with a quarter of an hour remaining when Young capitalised on some hesitation in the visiting defence to fire a low shot into the corner of the net.

And after Christou and Saunders were off-target for Urchins, a corner was delivered to the far post for Scott to head home the equaliser.

Tom Wraight then sent a deep free-kick into the box and when Scott headed the ball back across the face of goal, Yusuff was there to hook it into the corner of the net for his seventh goal of the season to complete a last-gasp win and extend Hornchurch's unbeaten run this season to nine matches in all competitions.

Billericay Town banked a point from a goalless draw at Horsham, but Wingate & Finchley fell to a 2-0 defeat at Hashtag United, as Alfie Cue netted in each half for the home side.

Meanwhile, Enfield Town saw their six-match unbeaten start to the season ended by Carshalton Athletic after a 3-0 home loss.

Mark Marshall put the Robins in front early in the second half and Tommy Bradford doubled their advantage before the hour mark.

Oluwabunmi Babajide completed the scoring 12 minutes from time to leave his side unbeaten in seven matches this season.
