ENFIELD'S North London Shotokan Karate Club launched a major attack on the recent National 2007 Kata Championships.
And it paid off as the squad of 30 members collected an armful of trophies.
First up were the under-16 boys (up to 4th Kyu) with Jamie McNeill taking gold, Serkan Seferoglu silver and Myles Stevenson and Vinay Masuria both winning bronze awards.
The under-16 girls (up to 4th Kyu) were not shaded by the boys as Nicola Burke took gold, Ellen Welsh silver and Emine Osman and Antonia Ogunseitan collected bronze trophies.
In the adult categories (10th Kyu up to 4th Kyu) Jane De Bono was a gold winner, Peter Katsis took silver and bronze awards went to Turkan Osman and Sean Burke.
Other results: Junior and cadet brown and black belt category: Ferhat Seferoglu (gold), Natasha De Bono (silver), Jack Welsh and Alex Cadwallender (bronze).
Black belt over-16 category: Lydie Luis (gold), Christine Neill (silver), Natasha De Bono (bronze).
"With a trophy tally of five golds, five silvers and nine bronzes it was a fantastic day for all who took part," said coach John De Bono.
"The remainder of the squad were all awarded with participation medals for taking part."
He added: "I am so prove of all of them. 2007 has been a very successful year and I can't wait for 2008."
