Enfield Borough centre-back Frank Chandler scored a hat-trick as they ran out 4-1 winners away at Hillingdon Borough in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One.

Borough were looking to bounce back from their Middlesex Premier Cup exit at the hands of Pitshanger Dynamo last week, and put themselves in a comfortable position at 3-0 thanks to Chandler, who had scored once in his previous 71 games for the club before Saturday.

Malachi Peynado-Peart got Borough’s fourth, while Kenneth Harriott notched a consolation for Hillingdon.

Chandler’s opener came when a corner from Peynado-Peart sailed over the out-stretched arms of the goalkeeper, and he stooped to nod home at the far post.

He made it two before the break when he was left unmarked in the area to score from Sukru Yildiz’s cross.

Two minutes after half-time, Chandler completed his hat-trick when Dragos Stefanoaica parried Kofi Appiah’s effort and he was the quickest to react.

Micah Jackson set up Peynado-Peart shortly after to coolly convert his first goal for the club, but there was to be no clean sheet for Borough as Harriott drove home a consolation goal in stoppage time.
