Enfield Borough were unable to build on last week’s victory over Shefford Town & Campton after they were beaten 2-0 by Milton Keynes Robins on Saturday in Division One of the Spartan South Midlands League.

Two goals in the first half sealed an eighth straight win for the hosts to keep pace with St Panteleimon at the top.

Despite their dominance, the Robins didn’t really test the returning Jamil Shallo until they opened the scoring on 16 minutes through Mason Spence’s diving header.

Bruno Tavares missed a good chance to draw level, instead allowing Milton Keynes to double the lead as Spence followed in on his own saved effort.

Defeat leaves Borough ninth in the table ahead of this Saturday's home game against London Lions, who sit a point and a place behind Borough having played twice more than their next opponents.
