Three boys from Watford’s Iruka Judokwai enjoyed medal success after entering a higher-grade competition for green belts and below at High Wycombe Judo Club.

Joe Reynolds had three contestants and some tough fights in his Under-60kg group but won all three contests with Ippon (highest possible score), taking him to his third gold medal this year.

Tiernan Carter was in a highly completive Under-30kg group of nine boys and fought extremely well in his first contest, losing to the eventual silver medallist. He went on to win two further contests by Ippon, winning a well-deserved bronze medal.

Tiernan's brother Quinlan Carter had to change weight groups, going up to Under-46kg for the first time. It was only he and one other competitor in the group, with Quinlan coming out on top to take the gold medal.
