Enfield Borough secured their first win in Division One of the Spartan South Midlands League with a 5-3 success over Buckingham Athletic.

Richard Ennin and Alie Bangura scored a brace each while Guiseppe Delgaudio scored his first for the club.

Robbie Carter gave Buckingham the lead after just 16 seconds as they capitalised on a poor backpass, but Bangura levelled almost instantly when played in by Micah Jackson.

Ennin then nipped in between Ryan Marsden and Joshua McAdoo to poke in a second, and there were two more before the break as Ennin tapped in his second and Delgaudio reacted the quickest to a shot that bounced off the post.

Bangura slotted in his second and Enfield's fifth when he skipped around McAdoo and converted, but it wasn’t all plain sailing in the second half as goals from Staley and King threatened a comeback - however, the lead proved to be unassailable and Borough held on for the win.

Last Tuesday also saw the side draw 1-1 with New Salamis.

Borough took the lead when Bangura steered home, but Leon McKenzie’s equaliser meant the points were shared.
