Tottenham have handed Lucas Moura a contract extension until 2024.

The Brazilian, who prior to this transfer window was Spurs' last signing in January 2018, has been rewarded for an impressive term last season.

His existing deal still had four years to run, but he has agreed terms for an extra 12 months.

The 26-year-old was a key player in Spurs' run to the Champions League final, notably in the semi-final second leg against Ajax, where his second-half hat-trick brought them back from the dead.

He scored 15 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions in a productive campaign, where he also hit the headlines for two goals in an early-season win at Manchester United.

Spurs had to wait to see the best of him as he took time to adjust following his £25million move from Paris St Germain, where up until this summer he was their last recruit.
