The Under-15s became the fourth Watford FC Girls side to reach a Herts County Cup final after bouncing back from defeat the previous week in style.

Susan Uwaifo scored a hat-trick and Aulona Xhema a brace to secure a 5-2 semi-final success at Garston Jaguars.

There were plenty of goals scored by the other Watford sides who played at the weekend.

The Under-9 Yellows made the journey to Bedwell Rangers and Evie Rose led the way with five goals in the four quarter games. Isabella Miller struck four times and Kimberley Ortiz weighed in with two.

Amelia Baskiewicz and Daisy-May Bird were on target as the Under-9 Greens played host to St Albans City Youth in an entertaining encounter.

Erin O’Connor and Sarah Zaoui both scored hat-tricks for the Under-11s at Bedwell. There were goals also for Sophie Birkett, Solange Brellier, Sienna Greener, Zara Labastide and a first for the club for Merryn Dyson.

The Under-13s found it hard going in their double header at local rivals Watford Ladies Youth.

In the first match the home team scored once in each half to record a 2-0 win. They followed this up with a 4-1 victory in the second fixture, Olivia Brock netting the Girls’ consolation.

The Under-18s played at home in very difficult conditions against Actonians Development on Sunday.

The away side set out to be resolute and difficult to beat and it was a lone goal from Sasha Williams that sealed a 1-0 win for Watford, guiding the ball into the top corner after a clever turn in the 18-yard box.

The Under-10s took part in the Herts Girls Football Partnership League Festival in Baldock on Saturday.

With plenty of matches and strong competition faced during the day, they won through to the League Shield Final on May 11.
