Division Two

With the top-of-the-table game between leaders Bushey Rangers and Ripstone falling foul of the weather, Everett Rovers moved above the second-placed side with a 7-2 win over Sun Regent Sports to leave them two points off top spot.

Everett started the game at a fierce pace with a passing sequence ending with Jake Knight rounding the keeper and scoring in the first minute without a single Sun Regent player having touched the ball.

Mark Hansard soon added a second, finishing well following a flowing move. Knight made it 3-0 with his second before Sun pulled one back through Jason White.

Barry Mitchell netted Everett’s fourth after the restart with a well-placed 25-yard free-kick, having come on for the injured Rob Barham, who suffered a broken ankle.

Knight then completed his hat-trick and added a fourth in between which Ryan Denham scored from his own half.

Daniel Abbott netted a second for Sun Regent, but they suffered a seventh league defeat and are the only team in all the divisions without a point to their name.

Northwood have a third win of the season thanks to a 5-2 victory over Ardent, which leaves them in fourth place but six points behind Ripstone, although they do have a game in hand.

Shaun Wheeler was the star man for Northwood, scoring four times with Sean McNally netting the other goal. Kiefer Shuttleworth and James Wilkinson replied for Ardent.

Division One

The only game in this division was decided by a first-half strike from Sam Parker for FC Woodside against Langleybury CC.

The 1-0 win leaves Woodside six points clear at the summit of the table, although they have played three games more than their two nearest rivals, Tudor Athletic and FC Unicorn.

Division Three

Oxhey Athletic have cut leaders AFC Leavesden’s lead at the top of the table to three points after thumping mid-table Chess United 9-1.

Conor Murphy and Liam Coles both scored a hat-trick, Jordan Aston-Woods netted a double before leaving the pitch due to illness, while Jay Jarvis struck Athletic’s other goal.

Matt Hargreaves netted the Chess goal in the first half with a fine effort, smashing the ball high into the roof of the net following a corner to reduce the score at that time to 3-1. But their opponents hit six more after the break to run away with the game.

AFC Leavesden dropped points of the first time this season as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at ACS Milan.

Matt Powell struck the crossbar for Leavesden in the first half, before ACS went ahead early in the second period thanks to a penalty converted by Calvin Monaghan.

Leavesden dominated but just couldn’t find the away through a well-organised ACS defence until Kyle Clifford half-volleyed in a loose ball late on.

Division Four

Skyline caused a shock as they inflicted a first league defeat of the season on leaders SOCA in a 3-2 victory.

A Dylan Stewart free-kick and Hamid Khan were on target for Skyline before Asif Khan got their late winner. Cameron Clark and Michael Coffee netted for the visitors.

The defeat means SOCA’s lead has been cut to five points after second-placed Hews put four answered goals past Hertfordshire Harriers thanks to a Chris Dunn double and one each from Adam Ricatelli and Nial McCalyn.

Eric Hand Challenge Cup Round Two

First Division Bushey Sports Club were given a big run for their money by Fourth Division strugglers White Horse before they edged through 2-1.

The underdogs should probably have won the game but they missed several good chances in front of goal, taking only one through James Redfearn.

Tom McGuiness was Bushey’s saviour, scoring both of his team's goals to set up a tie with fellow First Division side AFC Bedmond for a place in the quarter-finals.

Terry Devereux President’s Cup Group A

Chorleywood Club defeated local rivals Old Danes Athletic 5-1 to secure a second win in the group and leave them in second place thanks to a better goal difference than Fox & Hounds.

The victors took the lead in the 17th minute through Tom Shaw. The second and third goals followed through a Jack Read brace six minutes later and seven minutes before the break.

Old Danes pulled one back early in the second half through Jordan Woodcock but Scott Bonner netted Chorleywood’s fourth seven minutes from time and Read completed his hat-trick in the last minute.

WSL Intermediate Cup Round Two

Tudor Athletic beat fellow First Division side Croxley 7-3 to book a place in the quarter-finals.

New signing Steve Harper took all of two minutes to open his account for his new team, finishing off a pass from Karl Bull.

The impressive James Fisher made it two shortly after, before a flowing passing move resulted in Danny Regan tapping home from close range for Tudor’s third.

Croxley fought back and scored two quick goals, first through a Leroy Odle piledriver and then Samba scored from a corner.

Tudor made changes at the break and they seemed to pay off when Gary Warn scored, but his appearance was to be brief after sustaining an injury.

However, Athletic were to strengthen their grip on the contest as Sam Clarke scored, before Fisher and Harper netted their second goals of the game.

There was still time for Croxley to net a third late on when Leigh Parr struck with a diving header.

WSL Junior Cup Round Two

Woodlands United and The Victoria completed the line-up for the last eight after both sides enjoyed away wins.

Woodlands looked in charge of the game against Oxhey Rangers after leading 2-0 at the break, but Oxhey fought back to level through Michael Gilman and Dan Pipin.

That looked enough to take the tie to extra-time, but Woodlands scored the winner thanks to a swift counter-attack goal.

Klevis Dervishi netted a double for United and Matt Bower got their other goal.

The Victoria had an easier time, beating RBL Croxley 5-2 thanks to a James Farrell brace and single strikes from Michael Lipman, Ben Stallard and Ryan Bourne. Callum Hearn scored both RBL goals.
