Saints midfielder Mario Lemina was involved in the Gabon team that beat South Sudan for the second time in less than a week.
The Panthers followed up last Friday’s 3-0 win with another victory to keep their hopes of qualifying for the African Cup of Nations alive.
Gabon’s André Poko scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute to all but end South Sudan’s chances of qualifying for next year’s tournament.
With Mali and Burundi sharing the spoils in the other fixture, Lemina’s national side moved into second place in Group C.
