Herts Senior County League pacesetters New Salamis made light work of Totternhoe as they eased through to the second round of the Anagram Trophy with an emphatic 8-2 victory.

The hosts were in fine form against their Spartan South Midlands League Division Two opponents on Saturday and but for some impressive goalkeeping and missed chances, they would have hit double figures.

Richard Georgiou was once again among the goals with four, including a hat-trick of penalties for the second consecutive game.

A fine diving header featured as Ryan Hervel netted his first goals of the campaign with a brace, with Harrison Georgiou and Sean Bonnet-Johnson scoring the other two.

New Salamis’ reward is a home tie with Bedmond Sports in the second round on Saturday, November 10, but their focus is now on this weekend’s County League trip to Knebworth.
