CJ Ujah's World Indoor Championship 60m bid ended in disappointment after he was disqualified from the semi-finals for a false start.
The 23-year-old Enfield-born sprinter, part of the 4x100m world championship winning squad, was expected to challenge for the podium.
Ujah had said he was ready to challenge Christian Coleman, who was to set a championship record as he won the event.
The American led from the start and crossed the line in 6.37 seconds, narrowly outside his world record time of 6.34secs.
