Football League opposition will be the reward for Enfield Town if they can defy the pyramid and beat Maidstone United in tomorrow night’s FA Cup replay.
The Towners took their place in the draw for the first round for the first time in their history this evening and they will make the trip to League Two Cheltenham Town if they can prevail at the second time of asking.
Andy Leese’s men almost made it at the first time of asking against a club from two divisions higher, only to be pegged back to a 2-2 draw by an equaliser in the fourth minute of injury time in Kent.
The first round ties will be played over the weekend of November 3 to 6.
