Fulham want to sign Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone and have started the bidding at £5m according to the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old has struggled to establish himself in Andre Villas-Boas' first team this season with Sandro, Mousa Dembele and Scott Parker all ahead of Huddlestone in the pecking order.

Cottagers boss Martin Jol wants to add some solidity in his midfield and has worked with the Huddlestone during his time as manager at White Hart Lane.

The former Derby man has made more than 150 appearances for Spurs since joining in 2005, scoring 15 goals.
