The streets of Enfield have been voted some of the cleanest in the country in a national competition.
The Clean Britain Awards presented Enfield Council with a four star award following an inspection in August for helping keep the streets litter free.
In the report for the awards the borough was congratulated for its good bin provision and the work of enforcement officers to keep the streets tidy.
The council spends more than £4million on clearing litter and fly-tipped waste each year and the award makes Enfield one of only four London boroughs to receive a four or five star rating.
