POLICE are hunting for witnesses to the murder of a 41-year-old man in Finsbury Park.

Symon Simson was attacked as he walked to his car near the junction with Salisbury Road and Green Lanes on Thursday May 4.

He died as a result of serious head injuries at North Middlesex Hospital on May 17.

Mr Simson worked at his brother's shop, Fairline Ltd, in Green Lanes and had locked up at 10pm that night.

It is believed that he then made his way to the shop car park in Salisbury Mews where he was found collapsed at 10.30pm at the rear of the Suffolk Punch pub.

The driver door of his blue Ford Capri, registration 111 ULO, was found ajar.

Police are appealing for anyone in the area on the evening of May 4 to contact them.

DCI David Miveld said: 'We would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the shop that evening or who may have been in the Suffolk Punch pub.

'Did you see Symon leaving the shop? Did you see anything suspicious?'
