A TEENAGE girl who disappeared for a week after leaving home to go to a barbecue was found safe and well on Saturday.
Kimberly Adjei, 16, left her Raynham Avenue home on Sunday July 11 and was believed to be with a strange man.
Her "desperately worried" parents, who were on holiday until last Monday, believed she was with a man as she left a message on their answer machine from a man's phone saying she was staying out overnight.
When her grandfather phoned her to find out where she was last Monday, Kimberly said she would "get a lift home". She later told father Seth Adjei she was "with a friend" and would return later.
Kimberly had no more contact with her family until Saturday morning, when she was found safe and well in Wembley, where she had been staying with her boyfriend.
Mr Adjei, 52, said: "She's never done anything like this before. She's a quiet, shy girl." He also said he did not know she had a boyfriend.
