A cat protection charity is appealing for a home for a six-year-old moggie called Dolly.
Dolly is happy and healthy but needs steroid injections every month to stave off sore gums, as she suffers from calicivirus.
Rose-Marie Hill, homing officer for Cheshunt and Waltham Cross Cats Protection, said: "Dolly is a lovely cat, but she is becoming very despondent at not having a home of her own.
"She would make the perfect pet, although she is slightly nervous, so we would try to home her with someone who had no young children in the house."
The charity has offered to pay for the cost of the steroid injections if necessary.
