A man has been charged after police seized 13 guns and fighting dogs from a property in Enfield.
Officers recovered 13 counterfeit Glock-style firearms, 13 extended magazines and 640 rounds of ammunition during the operation.
Corey Ledgister, 51, of Farndale Avenue in Enfield, was arrested on April 9.
He has been charged with 13 counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life and possession of offensive weapons in both a public and private place.
Officers also seized cannabis from the address.
Eight prohibited dogs were found at the property and safely secured, with police saying they had injuries consistent with breeding and dog fighting.
Ledgister has since been further charged with possession of a Class B drug and animal cruelty offences.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (April 11).
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Damian Hill, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Tackling violence and the threat of counterfeit firearms is one we take incredibly seriously.
“I am pleased that our operation has resulted in dangerous weapons taken off our streets.”
