How long do I need to be at London Heathrow before my flight?
It is recommended by the airport that you should arrive for your flight between two to three hours in advance.
Heathrow suggests at least two hours before a short-haul flight and three hours for a long-haul flight.
They add that it will "give you enough time to clear the check-in, make your way through security and enjoy some duty-free shopping before making your way to your gate."
How to book Fast Track at London Heathrow Airport
If you are worried about getting through to boarding in time for your flight, then you can book Fast Track.
Fast Track can be booked for all terminals and no less than 2 hours before your flight.
It costs £12.50 for rebooked fast track at Heathrow and you can book it via the website here.
If you have an early flight and are worried about missing it, Heathrow suggests booking an overnight hotel.
Sharing that "you’ll be able to relax exactly how you want, get a prompt wake-up call, enjoy some tasty food and get to your terminal with the minimum of fuss."
