A car caused "mayhem" and cancellations when it ploughed into a dentist's clinic in a crash.

Dr Pegah Ziahosseini said the white vehicle remains lodged in her practice, N13 Dental Clinic, in Bowes Road, Palmers Green, following the crash shortly before 11pm on Tuesday (May 21).

Dr Ziahosseini said: "The crash was outside the clinic, it knocked out a wall and the car is inside the building."

She said she was at home when her husband received a call from police that a car had crashed into their property.

She said CCTV on her phone appeared to show one car travelling down Bowes Road which then crashed into another and into her practice.

She said: "We cancelled all the patients today. It's mayhem here. It took two hours.

"We brought in a structural engineer and now the clinic is a safe place."

She said she was launching a campaign to make the area safer, claiming the crossing is "very unsafe for cars".

"Damage happens but what would have happened if a pedestrian was walking there when it happened?"

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called at 10.52pm.

A spokesperson said there were "no serious injuries or arrests".

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Bowes Road in Southgate.

"Two cars were in collision with each other, with one of the vehicles also striking a building. A woman was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service.

"The brigade was called at 11.05pm and the incident was over for firefighters at 11.26pm. Two fire engines and one fire and rescue unit from Southgate, Finchley and Edmonton Fire Station attended the scene.”

Transport for London has been contacted.
