A man is in hospital following a crash on the M25 between a car and a lorry.

The crash - on the stretch of the M25 between J27 and J27 - was reported to the East of England Ambulance Service at 12.33pm today, March 22.

It has been confirmed that a man was taken from the scene of the crash to a nearby hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

The M25 remains affected anti-clockwise between J28 of the A12 and J26 of the A121. 

Two lanes of the main road are not in use whilst emergency services continue their work at the scene of the incident. 

Traffic is said to be moving at an average of ten miles per hour but motorists are advised that queues continue to be "severe" according to AA. 

Essex Police has advised that officers remain at the scene.
