A man who was injured in a shooting is in a critical condition.
Officers were called to the incident at the Cora Lounge bar in Alma Road, Enfield, at around 1.40am on Tuesday (February 13).
They identified the victim at 2.25am that morning after emergency services were called to the injured man at a location in Haringey.
The man, aged in his 30s, was rushed to the hospital where he is fighting for his life.
The Metropolitan Police said his family have been informed and an investigation into the crime is underway. No arrests have been made so far, but officers urged witnesses and anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
Detective Inspector David Hickford, from the investigation team said the police have carried out “extensive enquiries” since the attack to establish what happened.
He believes many people were at the bar at the time of the shooting who may not have spoken to the police.
He said: “We need to speak with anyone who was there, whether they believe they saw anything significant or not.
"Gun crime has no place on the streets of London. Thankfully, incidents of this kind are incredibly rare in the capital. We are doing all we can to track down whoever is responsible."
Witnesses can call the police on 101 quoting CAD 4684/16Feb. Information can also be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
