Glasses were raised as a growing chain opened its latest restaurant.

Tasty African Food opened its 27th branch in Lordship Lane, Tottenham, on October 2.

Founded in Woolwich in 2000, the chain serves recipes of traditional African dishes developed over 25 years.

The new branch is run by franchise owner Dolly Alao, and the menu includes Jollof rice - a West African seasoned rice favourite cooked in spicy, smoky tomato stew.

There is also fried rice - a medley of seasoned rice, vegetables, shrimp and liver pieces - and meat pies - soft pastry with a minced beef and vegetable filling.

And for those looking for a sweet treat there is Nigerian favourite puff puff - a deep-fried snack similar to doughnuts.

Customers can order by walking in or by delivery and click & collect through the Tasty African Food app, as well as Uber Eats & Deliveroo.

The branch is at 22 Lordship Lane. Opening times are 12pm to 9pm, Monday to Saturday.
