A man posing as an escort threatened to kill a man with a machete during a robbery.
The Metropolitan Police says the victim, 20, agreed to meet up with the suspect in Enfield after contacting them towards the end of January through a website advertising escorts.
They met in a secluded area and within minutes the suspect reportedly pulled a machete from their waistband of his trousers, pushed the victim to the floor and demanded he paid the cash fee.
Before leaving the suspect threatened to kill the victim if he told anyone what had happened.
Police are investigating. PC Harriet Rapley of the North Area Command Robbery unit said: “I believe that there may be other victims who, for reasons of their own, have not yet spoken to police.
“I would like to encourage anyone who thinks they have encountered this person to get in touch, at the very least, so that we can ensure that you are supported.”
