There were long delays on the M25 this morning after emergency services were called to an injured person on the road.

The Metropolitan Police said they were called to reports of an injured person in the anticlockwise carriageway at junction 25 at 3.26am today (Thursday, February 16).

London Ambulance Service paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.

Police say the man had injuries consistent with a fall from height and has been taken to hospital.

The M25 was closed between junctions 27 and 25 but later reopened. Slip roads at junction 25 and the A10 roundabout remained closed while further enquiries are carried out.

The AA reports that the A10 is closed with queueing traffic due to an earlier police incident on the A10 Great Cambridge Road Northbound from A1055 Bullsmoor Lane to M25 J25 (Enfield).

There is currently congestion back as far as Carterhatch Lane.
