Drivers in the Enfield area may face some disruption due to temporary road closures for roadworks, starting from next week.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield & Haringey Independent detail the extent of the closures and other restrictions that may be necessary while the works are carried out.

The western arm of Lincoln Way EN1 is due to be closed from its junction with Lincoln Way northwards for a distance of 50m for five days from Monday for utility works.

The diversion will be via Lincoln Way to eastern arm of Lincoln Way and vice versa.

Clive Road EN1 is set to be shut from the boundary of Nos. 23 and 25 to the junction of Southbury Road, as and when directed by signs, for utility works from Tuesday for thee days.

The alternative route will be via Southbury Road, Bertram Road, Lincoln Road, Clive Road and vice versa.

A two-day closure in Kingsley Road N13, between No. 34 and No. 38, is due to start on June 23 for utility works.

The diversion will be via Park Avenue, Lightcliffe Road, Hazelwood Lane, New River Crescent and vice versa.

Bressey Avenue EN1 is due to be closed from No. 41 to the junction with Linwood Crescent for utility works for five days from June 27.

This road is a cul-de-sac so there will be no diversion, but access will be maintained for residents “only as far as the works allow”.

Utility works are set to lead to a lengthy closure of Sandhurst Road N9 from its junction with Chelsfield Avenue to Charlton Road on both sides of the carriageway, as and when directed by signage.

This closure is due to start on June 29 and last for 45 days. The diversion will via Charlton Road.
