Motorists are facing disruption in and around Enfield due to a number of planned temporary road closures for roadworks.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent detail the extent of the closures and other restrictions that may be implemented until the works are completed.

Newby Close EN1 is due to be closed for one day on Monday at its junction with Connaught Avenue, as and when directed by signage.

Sections of Churchbury Lane and Orchard Way EN1 are set to be shut “at any time”, as and when directed by signs, for one week from Monday while works take place.

The closures are due to apply from the junction with Parsonage Lane to the common boundary of Nos. 44 and 46 Churchbury Lane; and from the eastern wall of No. 3 Orchard Way to its junction with Churchbury Lane.

More “at any time” closures are due to be in place for three days from Wednesday in Woodland Way N21 at its junction with Bourne Hill for 50m northwards.

Kingsmead Avenue N9 is set to be shut at its junction with Bounces Road for five days from April 4.

A series of closures that will continue on an occasional basis until the autumn are due to start in Mollison Avenue EN3 early next month.

The road is set to be shut from Hertford Road to Solar Way roundabout from 11am to 6pm on April 4 and 5; and from Ordnance Way to Bilton Way between the same times on April 6 and 7.

The other closures are due to take place in May, July, August and October.

Norfolk Road EN3 is due to be shut between the boundary of Nos. 40 and 42 to its junction with Northfield Road, as and when directed by signage, for five days from April 4.

Another five-day closure set to start on April 4 is in Springfield Road N11 between the boundaries of Nos. 49 and 51, and Nos. 61 and 63.

Also on April 4, but this time for 20 days, Totteridge Road EN3 is set to be shut to vehicles between the boundaries of Nos. 90 and 92, and Nos. 98 and 100.
