Police have returned to the scene of an attempted murder where a man was stabbed in Enfield.

The Metropolitan Police force were called to reports of a man found injured in a car in Swan Way around 6.23pm on Tuesday, January 11.

Officers and paramedics found a man in his 60s with stab injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.

Police have returned to the scene one week on to encourage anyone with information or footage to come forward.

Detective Inspector Paul Ridley from North Area CID which covers Enfield said: “This offence was committed in a heavily populated, busy residential area and there are likely to be witnesses that have not yet came forward. I would like to hear from those people.

“The investigation team will return to Swan Way, Enfield this evening, Tuesday, 18 January between 6 and 8pm and will be available to speak with anyone who thinks they may have information or dashcam footage that could assist the investigation.

“If you don’t want to speak to officers this evening, please do get in touch via 101 or tweet @MetCC, particularly if you have footage or images that might assist us.”

A 42-year-old man was charged in connection with the incident.

Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
