Motorists in the Enfield area are facing disruption due to street closures for forthcoming roadworks.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent detail the extent of the closures and other measures that may be necessary while works are carried out.

Lansbury Road EN3 is set to be shut from the common boundary of Nos. 69 and 71 to its junction with Nursery Gardens, as and when directed by signage, from January 31.

The closure is due to last for ten days and access for residents will be maintained “only as far as works allow”.

The alternative route will be via Lansbury Road, Shaw Road, Addison Road, The Sunny Road, Lansbury Road and vice versa.

The following day February 1, a 30-day closure is set to start in Stockingswater Lane EN3.

Traffic will be prohibited from entering or proceeding along the road from its junction with A1055 Mollison Avenue to a point 115m east, as and when directed by signage.

The diversion during the closure will be via Mollison Avenue and Braithwaite Road.

A 15-day closure of Glenloch Road EN3 is due to begin on March 7.

The road is due to be shut from its junction with Cedar Avenue to its junction with Greenmoor Road.

Traffic will be diverted via Cedar Avenue, A1010 Hertford Road, Green Street and vice versa.
