A street has been cordoned off by police for around two days after a man was found stabbed in a car.

Police were called to Swan Way near Brimsdown at 6.23pm on Tuesday January 11 to reports of a man found injured inside a car.

Officers attended and found a man, believed to be aged in his 60s, with stab wounds.

He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital where he remains in a stable but serious condition. His next of kin have been informed.

Police say there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

A photo taken in Swan Way showed a police recovery truck at the scene and tape across the street.

The road was still shut by police as of this afternoon (January 13).
