Several streets in the Enfield area are set to be temporarily closed while roadworks are carried out.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent detail the extent of the works and other restrictions that may be put in place until the works are completed.

A phased programme of works involving closures in Alma Road and Green Street EN3, and Inverforth Road N11, as and when directed by signs, are due to get underway on Thursday.

Inverforth Road, from outside No. 3 to the junction of Station Road, is due to be shut to vehicles between 9.30am to 3.30pm for two days from Thursday, and then from 8am to 6pm next Tuesday.

The diversion during these closures will be via Station Road, Woodland Road, High Road, The Limes Avenue, Palmers Road, Upper Park Road, Inverforth Road and vice versa.

Green Street, between No. 76 and No. 184, is set to be shut from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Monday.

Motorists should use Green Street, Brimsdown Avenue, Bell Lane, Eastfield Road, Hertford Road, Green Street and vice versa.

Alma Road is scheduled to be closed at its junction with Avondale Crescent next Wednesday from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The alternative route during this time will be via Alma Road, South Street, High Street, Hertford Road, Green Street and Alma Road.

Vehicles are set to be prevented from entering Bullsmoor Lane EN1 from its junction with Lackmore Road, as and when directed by signs, from 9pm on Thursday to 5am on Friday.

The diversion will be via Elsinge Road, Turkey Street, Hertford Road and Bullsmoor Lane.

Woodstock Crescent, from its junction with Beech Close to the common boundary of Nos. 22 and 24, is set to be shut for five days from December 13.

The alternative route will be via Mayfield Crescent, Galliard Road, Woodstock Crescent and vice versa.
