A road in Edmonton is due to undergo a week-long programme of road closures later this month to enable essential highway improvement works to be carried out.

A notice from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent details the junction closures that are due to take place in Town Road N9 from October 25 to 29.

The closures are due to be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm and will close Town Road at these junctions on the following days:

  • October 25: at its junction with Exeter Road
  • October 26: at its junction with Logan Road
  • October 27: at its junction with Harton Road
  • October 28: at its junction with Westoe Road
  • October 29: at its junction with Marsden Road and Queens Road

Other planned road closures in the Enfield area over the coming weeks include in Willow Road and Trinity Avenue EN1, again for highway improvement works.

Willow Road, between its junction with Carterhatch Lane and Tenniswood Road, is due to be shut to vehicles for two days from October 25, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Trinity Avenue, between the A10 to Melbourne Way, is also due to be shut from the following day, again for two days, but between 8am and 6pm.

Elsewhere in EN1, East Crescent is set to be closed to motorists between its junctions with First Avenue and Second Avenue from October 26 for five days for utility works.

Another five-day closure for utility works is due to take place in Ingersoll Road EN3 from October 25.

During this time traffic will be prohibited from entering or proceeding along the road at a point approximately 25m from its junction with Hertford Road.

A section of Mollison Avenue EN3 is also due to be shut from October 25 from 10pm to 5am for seven nights for utility works.

The road will be closed from its junction with Hertford Road for approximately 75m eastbound, to the entrance of OMA Film Studios.
