An Enfield nursery has been recognised as one of the top 20 nursery groups in the UK.

HappyWoods Nurseries based at Heene Road in Enfield outranked over 2,000 nurseries in London alone, as it was titled one of the top 20 according to a popular nursery review website.

Daynurseries.co.uk awarded the nursery an individual award as well as a group award after the nursery received high ratings from parents.

The awards are based on reviews left at daynurseries.co.uk from children’s families and carers, with factors such as resources, equipment, facilities, outdoor space, food, management and more considered.

Carolina Machado, director at HappyWoods Nurseries said: “We feel very privileged for the recognition our parents have given us for the past four years at HappyWoods nurseries.

“The nursery core values are very much driven by providing high standards of childcare practice for all the children in our care. Strong work ethics, with a curious approach to motivate and challenge children to play, discover, learn, and grow.

“Thank you to day nurseries, for providing an online platform for parents/carers looking for childcare settings and for always striving to improve the parent experience with an end-to-end platform within the childcare services.”

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of daynurseries.co.uk, said: “HappyWoods Nurseries has shown that its nurseries are having a big effect on children’s wellbeing and development. We would like to congratulate them on being a top nursery group, as rated by parents! We feel it is a real achievement to be recognised for being in the Top 20 nursery groups by children’s families and carers.”

“Nurseries have been through such challenging times during the pandemic, many of whom were offering childcare to vulnerable and keyworker children during the various lockdowns and giving children a piece of all important ‘normality’.

“We hope these awards will boost the spirits of nursery staff which have had to help children adjust to the ‘new normal’, as well as help parents choose a top performing nursery for their child.”
