Forty firefighters tackled a fire at Cricklewood's Travelodge this afternoon.

Crews were called to a fire in the basement car park of the five-storey hotel in Cricklewood Broadway.  

A vehicle was destroyed by the fire and some refuse was also alight. 

Around 25 people left the building before the Brigade arrived.  

There were no reports of any injuries. 

The Brigade was called at 11:42 and the fire was under control by 12:40.  

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from Willesden, North Kensington, Park Royal, Finchley and surrounding fire stations were at the scene. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
