Several streets in and around Enfield are set to be temporarily closed for roadworks, starting from this weekend.

Notices placed by Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent detail the extent of the closures and other restrictions that will be in place while the works are carried out.

A section of Green Street is due to be closed from the early hours of Sunday, from 12.20am to 8am, for highway works.

The closure will prevent vehicles from entering or proceeding along the road, 20 metres either side of the level crossing, as and when directed by signage.

The following day a two-day closure of Bycullah Road is due to begin.

This will be in place from 8am to 6pm between the junctions with The Ridgeway and Rowantree Road, and between the junctions of Rowantree Road and Chase Green Avenue.

Also on Monday, a three-day closure of Booker Road between its junctions with Leeds Street and Raynham Road is set to start, as and when directed by signage.

Borden Avenue, between its junctions with Village Road and the boundary of Nos. 28/30, is due to be shut from 8am to 6pm on Thursday, June 17.

On Friday, June 18 another one-day closure, again from 8am to 6pm, is scheduled to happen in The Meadway between its junctions with Bourne Avenue and Greenway.

Beaconsfield Road, between its junctions with Ordnance Road and Rotherfield Roads, is set to be shut from 8am to 6pm on Monday, June 21.

The same timings are also due to apply to the shutting of Medcalf Road from its junction with Ordnance Road on Tuesday, June 22.

A much longer road closure is due to start in Bycullah Avenue on June 21.

This is due to be in place for 17 days, as and when directed by signage, and will prevent vehicles from entering or proceeding between Chase Green Avenue and Bycullah Road.

Trinity Avenue, between its junction with the A10 Great Cambridge Road and Melbourne Road, is due to shut to traffic for four days from June 23. This closure will be from 8am to 6pm.

Part of Church Street is set to be closed overnight on Friday, June 25.

This is set to apply from 9pm to 5am between its junctions with Old Park Avenue/Chase Side/Windmill Hill and its junction with Gentlemans Row.

The whole of Queen Anne’s Garden is scheduled to be shut for two days, from 8am to 6pm, from Monday, June 28.

A one-day closure, again from 8am to 6pm, is due to happen in York Road on Wednesday, June 30. This will be between Ridge Avenue and Colne Road.
