Drivers and residents may face disruption when roadworks get underway in several streets in Enfield from Monday.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent detail the restrictions that will be in place while the works are carried out, including some temporary closures.

Bounces Road, Westminster Road and Gordon Road will be among the roads affected by these when utility works start on Monday and are expected to last for five days.

Westminster Road, from its junction with Bounces Road to the common boundary with Nos. 65 and 67, will be shut to vehicles, as and when directed by signs.

The same will apply to Gordon Road, at its junction with Bounces Road to the common boundary of Nos. 72 and 74 on the east and west side.

Waiting and loading restrictions will also be introduced in Gordon Road, and between the common boundaries of Nos. 51 and 53 and Nos. 63 and 65 in Bounces Road.

Victoria Road is also set to be closed to motorists, as and when directed by signs, for five days from Monday for resurfacing works. However, the restrictions will only apply from 8am to 6pm.

A section of Browning Road is also due to be closed to vehicles from Monday for five days.

Traffic will be prevented from entering or proceeding along the road from the north-western flank wall of No. 62 to the junction with Glenville Avenue.

Waiting and loading restrictions will also apply along this stretch of the road.

Elsewhere from Monday, more works will start in Nelson Road, Edlington Road, Cowper Gardens and Tottenhall Road.

Waiting and loading restrictions will be in place in Nelson Road, north and south side between Falcon Road and Gardiner Close, for an expected ten-day period.

From May 31 though, Edlington Road is set to be closed for ten days in addition to waiting and loading restrictions.

Waiting and loading limitation are also set to be introduced in the east and west side of Cowper Gardens, between its junction with The Fairway to Nos. 47 and Nos. 49/49E, for 15 days from June 7.
