Motorists using several roads in Enfield are facing disruption over the coming weeks due to temporary closures while works are carried out.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent outline the restrictions that are due to come into place from this weekend.

Part of Advent Way is due to be shut on Saturday for 24 hours to enable street lighting works to be carried out.

Motorists will be unable to use the road from its junction with Cooks Ferry Roundabout, westbound for approximately 350 metres, as and when directed by signage.

Whilst the restrictions are in place the diversion route for westbound traffic will be via Cooks Ferry Roundabout, A406 North Circular, Argon Road, Angel Road, Meridian Way, Conduit Lane and Advent Way.

A section of Waverley Road is set to be shut to traffic for five days from Monday for utility works.

Vehicles will be unable to enter of proceed along the road between its junction with Windmill Road and the boundary of Nos. 8 and 10 during this period.

The diversion will be via Waverley Road, Crescent Road, Old Park Road and Windmill Hill.

There are also two other more lengthy closures due to come into effect on April 19 for utility works.

The section of Sterling Road, between its junctions with Woodlands Road and Browning Road, is due to be closed for approximately 22 days.

During this time, the alternative route will be via Browning Road, Lancaster Road, Woodlands Road and vice versa, or Browning Road, Merton Road, Woodlands Road and vice versa.

On the same day a 15-day temporary closure is due to take effect in Chase Court Gardens, between its junctions with Chase Green Avenue and Windmill Hill.

The alternative routes at this time will be via Chase Green Avenue, Chase Side, Windmill Hill and vice versa, or Windmill Hill, Bycullah Road, Chase Green Avenue and vice versa.

Another temporary closure is due to come into force on April 26 for approximately five days on Ingersoll Road at its junction with Hertford Road, again for utility works.

The diversion for this closure will be via Hertford Road, Riley Road, Elmore Road, Ingersoll Road and vice versa.
