ARE you heading to a local pub or restaurant this week?

Hospitality venues are allowed to reopen from today and many have been taking bookings for weeks.

However, customers aren’t actually allowed inside the pub and must be served outside.

While this would be ideal for those living in a Mediterranean country, the Great British weather is much less dependable.

One minute we are basking in the April sunshine and the next minute our town is hit with snow.

If you have booked an outdoor table at a restaurant or a pub in Bolton this week, it’s possible that you might be caught out by the tumultuous weather.

While some local venues, such as The Cherry Tree at Blackrod, have outdoor heaters and blankets not every venue is quite as prepared for the cold weather.

Using weather data from the Met Office, we have summarised the weekly predictions in Bolton so you can decide if a trip to a beer garden or outdoor dining is worth the risk:

Monday 12 April

It’s the first day of eased lockdown restrictions- and many people will be hoping to make the most of it.

Luckily, it’s set to remain mainly sunny all day with less than a five per cent chance of rain.

However, make sure to wrap up warm as the county is only expecting highs of 8°- and the wind chill can make it feel much colder than this.

Tuesday 13 April

Tuesday’s weather isn’t quite as glorious as yesterday’s.

After a bright start, it will get cloudy with increased risk of scattered showers across the North West.

In Bolton, it’s set to be cloudy between 12pm-4pm with a 10 per cent chance of rain- but the sunshine is expected to show its face between 6pm and 7pm.

However, it will feel slightly milder than Monday with highs of 9°.

Wednesday 14 April

Arguably, this is one of the riskiest days to brave a restaurant or pub garden.

Cloud is predicted from 1pm right into the evening.

There is a 10 per cent chance of rain all afternoon and evening- but it is slightly milder with highs of 10°.

Thursday 15 April

Today looks set to be mainly dry with highs of 10°.

Sunny spells are predicted between 7am-10am with cloud set to cover the skies afterwards.

The highest chance of rain is between 4pm and 7pm.

If you are heading out for drinks on Friday night, there is a 1 in 10 chance that you might need a brolly.

It’s a similar day to Thursday, with sunshine expected between 7am and 10am and cloud  predicted between 4pm right into the evening.

Saturday 17 April

With the working week behind us, many people will be eager to get to the pubs and restaurants this day- but how is the weather looking in Bolton?

However, it is relatively mild with highs of 12°.
