A man has been arrested following a 'serious' assault in a park last year.

The victim, a 45-year-old man, was attacked in Ponders End Park, Enfield, on June 23 last year.

He suffered facial injuries as a result of the assault and detectives launch an investigation into the incident.

On Friday, February 26, a 30-year-old man attended a north London police station and was arrested on suspicion of GBH; he has since been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late March.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
