THE trial of a Dudley man charged with the death of his five-month-old daughter was due to get underway at Birmingham Crown Court today (Monday January 18).
Philip Peace, aged 42, from Heath Green, is charged with murder after the baby girl was taken to hospital in cardiac arrest on September 8, 2017, and tragically died the next day.
Following an extensive investigation, Peace was arrested in May of the following year and was charged on April 29, 2020.
A murder trial, before Mr Justice Thomas Linden, was listed to start today and is expected to last four weeks.
