TV and film star Dame Barbara Windsor has died aged 83, her husband confirmed.

Dame Barbara, famous for playing Peggy Mitchell on BBC soap EastEnders and appearing in the Carry On films, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014. Her condition worsened during lockdown.
