The bench was installed at Veracity Recreation Ground in Peartree, but otherc can be found at Southampton Old Cemetery, South Stoneham Garden of Remembrance at Stoneham Cemetery, Hollybrook Cemetery and Lances Hill.
ON my weekly visit to the South Stoneham Cemetery today I walked through to the Remembrance Garden.
There is a stunning new bench there - black metal with the silhouette of soldiers and bright red poppies on the back rest.
A fitting tribute, so thank you who-ever was responsible.
