There is one week to go until the scariest night of the year and our Camera Club members have been continuing to build up to Halloween by capturing some more spooky sights.

The current monthly theme for our talented photographers members is ‘haunted Watford’ and they have been taking pictures of some eerie scenes, or those places around the area that have a dark chapter in their past. Scroll through this week's selection of images below and you may spot a camera trick or two that has been used.

The Watford Observer Camera Club is a Facebook-based group. It is open to all photographers – from those who snap pictures on their phones, to professionals who capture perfect shots with specialist equipment.

Every month, the camera club is set a new challenge, a theme is selected and then the work starts.
