The Radlett Centre's finances have been given a boost after its application for government funding was successful.
The centre in Watling Street, which provides theatre, art, music, and entertainment has been awarded £82,251 as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund to help face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Radlett Centre has been closed since the country went into lockdown in March.
The news was announced by Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden, who is also Hertsmere's MP.
Mr Dowden said: "I am delighted that the Radlett Centre in my Hertsmere constituency are receiving this government funding.
"I have enjoyed many performances here from pantomime at Christmas to the Radlett Light Operatic Society. They have a fantastic cafe downstairs, Teatro, and really are at the heart of our community.
"This government has said that we are here for arts and this funding will protect special places, like the Radlett Centre in my constituency, save jobs and help the culture sector’s recovery."
