The Lexicon announces new Safari trail for families to support NHS Charities Together

Families will be able to enjoy a safe Safari story-trail in The Lexicon while supporting NHS Charities Together.

Shoppers will be able to search for 'MonsterHeroes' hidden on posters in shops around the town centre from Saturday, July 18 to Saturday, September 5.

By using your phone, children can learn about each MonsterHero character and when all ten characters have been found, a free e-book will be unlocked.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon, said: “We are really pleased to be able to offer this fun experience for our customers. We’re always looking for innovative activities in the town centre for the whole family to enjoy, and the Safari offers just that, with a no contact activity - for such a brilliant cause too."

More than 100 BIDs and councils across the UK are taking part in the MonsterHero Safari project, sponsored by Wild in Art, with the goal of raising £100k for NHS Charities Together.

In unprecedented times, this project aims to provide the local community with a memorable experience that will bring a smile to the borough of Bracknell Forest.

Players simply need to tap or scan the QR code to play and the first 500 families who sign up will play for free.

Then there will be a cost to play of £2 per family with all proceeds going to the NHS Charities Together.

Martin Blackwell, who is coordinating the national project, said “When I heard about the concept it just resonated with me and I knew I had to support it.

"I loved the idea of heroes; the idea of a “safari on the high street”! I just thought, if something fun like this can help make families feel good about going back out onto the high street and raise money for such a worthy cause then let’s go for it.”
