All libraries in Enfield and Haringey are now closed until further notice.
The move comes after the introduction of new restrictions on movement brought in by the Government to stop the spread of coronavirus Covid-19.
Enfield Council said it will:
- Extend the return date for all items currently out on loan until April 30.
- Extend any library card that is due to expire until June 30.
- Cancel any fines for overdue items until April 30.
The council added: “You can become a new member and access a full range of online resources and eBooks without having to physically visit a library until April 30.”
Haringey Council said: “All of the libraries in Haringey are now closed. We will be looking at alternative ways of providing our services, including online options. We will update you when we have more information, so please check the website every day.”
