A cyclist is severely injured after she was hit by a car this morning.
Police were called at 6.30am today (March 16) to reports of an incident involving a car and cyclist in St Albans Road, Watford.
Officers and ambulance services attended the scene and found that a cyclist had been hit by a black Volvo C70 at the junction at Gammons Lane.
She was rushed to hospital and police say she sustained serious injuries.
Road closures were set in place around St Albans Road and Gammons Lane following the incident, but they were lifted by 8am.
